Trump Says Iran Deal “Largely Negotiated,” Finalization Still Pending
(MENAFN) Donald Trump said Saturday that an agreement aimed at ending the conflict with Iran has been “largely negotiated” and is now awaiting final confirmation and technical completion.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that the deal involves the United States, Iran, and other participating countries, and is in its final stages of review before official announcement.
He said he had discussed the emerging agreement during a “very good call” with several regional leaders and also held a separate phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
According to Trump, remaining issues are still being finalized, but he indicated that an announcement could follow soon once details are completed.
He also said the agreement includes provisions to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime route that has been a central point in negotiations between the two sides.
The US and Iran have reportedly been exchanging proposals through intermediaries based in Islamabad, focusing on nuclear-related concerns, sanctions relief, and maritime access as part of broader de-escalation efforts.
